Not as easy as it looks
I think moving to a progressive tax base might help, as might using our already existent single-payer system to benefit the whole nation, including those who fund it. But the first cartoonist would accuse me trying to make Hussein Obama right. Which is funny, as Barry Obama pretty much ignored serious single-payer proposals in favor of a triply compromised conservative health insurance bill.

To be pulled out whenever pols try to puch bankruptcy reform.

I'm unsure about the way this video tries to connect the labor unions to a bunch of other things. But the fact remains that the government is trying to squeeze the poor rather than raise taxes on the rich even to the normal levels required to conservatively fund long-accepted functions.
Which is a major contention of this: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2009/05/the-quiet-coup/7364/2/
I'm not a great fan of the Atlantic, really, but I think he's right about that thing.

I leave you with the satisfying rebuttal of the day:
We need this kind of backtalk here as well. America doesn't suck because of gay marriage or Lady Gaga. The USA sucks because of selfishness & lack ofcharity brotherhood tzedakah (look it up)
