I watched Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story.

One bit that really struck me: He has two Catholic priests on, & they both say, flat out, "Capitalism is evil." So he brings on a bishop, who's more diplomatic, but says Jesus wouldn't be part of it.

Pretty good movie, marred I think by Moore's buffoonish act of driving to Wall Street in an armored car & asking for the TARP money to take it back to Washington. But overall, he makes a good point that capitalism as such isn't really consistent with the Bible, isn't really demanded by the nation's constitution, & doesn't really work as a rising tide to lift all boats in practice. We can do better.

I wonder how well inoculated against the movie's arguments are those who've been taught that Jesus Christ & Tom Jefferson demand they be good free-enterprisers. Enough to pooh-pooh the whole message of the film if they watched it? Or just enough to not watch it in the first place?
