Earnings taxes are not the be-all & end-all of revenue. They're just a tool that a government can use if they find it useful.
Prop A says that future voters in Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, & Joplin will be too stupid to decide for themselves whether it's a useful tool for their cities, so voters who don't even live in those cities should take that option away today & forever. Now that's stupid.
We're probably smart enough to vote down a poorly designed tax. Out children will be as well.
Prop A couldn't pass the legislature; that's why it's a referendum. Don't support this law. It denies cities the authority to govern themselves.
