from the enemy meditations
Jan. 5th, 2012 08:05 amSome imagine for themselves gods and venerate them not out of any understanding of the sacred but out of fear of a powerful person's wrath. These are those who think morality is nothing more than, "I don't like it."
Some see gods as a genie's lamp to rub. Men with no sense of morality, for whom there is only power and opportunity.
Some see a world made by impersonal forces and decide that not being made by personal gods it means nothing, & that the forces of nature deserve no respect.
....
Water created you to move itself around--dumbly, not as a god. Now you hoard water behind dams. You're killing the order that supports you.
