But to Newt’s credit, he does refuse to tell the hero to “take a bath and get a job” because he doesn’t want the kids to hate him. Too bad he doesn’t feel this way in real life.

The GOP have been fortunate to have candidates who showed some sense of decency and/or charity in the past. Dole, W Bush, McCain, Reagan, even the elder Bush, were all nicer guys than Newt, and most of them smarter. I don't think those voting for him have any idea how bad a candidate he is for the party.
